Introduction
This data field may display additional data that goes beyond Delacon's standard tracking.
Based on the data you wish to capture, it may require additional setup steps on Delacon's end and on the client side.
Contact your Account Manager or Delacon Support to discuss your requirements.
Below are some example of data points that can be captured.
Capturing paid click IDs
Click IDs are appended to the referral URL by search engines when someone clicks a paid ad. These click IDs will be available in the landing page URL data field in the Delacon reporting, but can also be isolated in the Extra Tracking data field.
Below click IDs can be isolated:
- Google Click ID (gclid)
- Microsoft Click ID (msclkid)
- Yahoo Click ID (yclid)
- Facebook Click ID (fbclid)
Capturing the value of utm parameters
Any value present in utm parameters in the landing page URL can be captured and isolated in the Extra Tracking data field.
Examples are:
- the keyword match type
- Campaign information
- or any custom utm parameter
Capturing a Cookie Value
We can extract the value of any cookie running on the website.
Capturing the GA session ID
We can extract the GA session ID from relevant cookies running on the website.
